grabbag

I did my grabbag with Jake. our grabbag topic was music
vocab:
歌- ka- literally means song.
流行- ryūkōka- literally means popular song. it is a type of music that was popular between the 1920's and the 1960's.
演歌- enka- literally means speech song, refering to the political text that were first used with these songs. enka was popular as early as pre-WWI periods.
パラパラ- para para- a japanese song that has a matching, catchy, well known dance.
ヴィジュアル系- visual kei- a movement amongst japanese music (mostly rock) characterized by the bands dressing up with strange hairdos and colors
